ACCRA MAYOR HONOURED BY THE S.D.A. CHURCH

Accra Mayor,Hon.Dr.  Alfred Oko Vanderpuijie receiving his
award from Pastor S.A. Larmie of the S.D.A church.

The Mayor of Accra, Hon. Dr.Alfred Oko Vanderpuijie has been honoured by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The award was in recognition of his dedicated service to the nation as an Adventist and also as the Mayor of the capital city of Ghana which was boldly inscribed on a glass plaque presented to him.

The awards ceremony was organized as part of activities to mark 125th celebration of Southern Ghana Union Conference of the church which was under the theme, “Proclaiming and living the Christian Life”.

Addressing the gathering, the Mayor thanked the church for their prayers and promised to function in a manner which will be to the glory of the Lord. He promised to do whatever he can to support the work of God’s church in any position he finds himself.

Other members of the church were also honoured for their outstanding role in church leadership. This included media practitioners who were also recognized for the pivotal role they have played for the growth of the church.

There was song ministration by the King’s Ambassadors, a musical group of the church.
